Soft Things Hit Hard (In Progress)
Designed the combat experience and a weapon-building system for a multiplayer party battle royale game.
Hi! I’m Forest, a sophomore @ USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, majoring in Game Design with a minor in Technical Game Art. I’m a game designer specializing in combat design, with experience also in level and system design. I have two years of experience with both Unity and Unreal Engine, and now I primarily use Unreal Engine 5 to build my own combat demos.
I love playing action games, and some of my favorites are Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Dark Souls III, and The First Berserker: Khazan. I also used to play a lot of competitive FPS games, including Apex Legends, Counter-Strike, Valorant, and Delta Force.
Outside of games, I also love watching movies and playing sports. I played on my high school’s varsity soccer and volleyball teams. If you enjoy the things I’ve been making, feel free to reach out and talk about anything!

Learned UE5 from scratch and completed a fully functional boss fight demo in two weeks.
Created a single-player boxing game with a state-machine-driven smart enemy AI in Unity.
Merging UI layer with the game world, I designed most levels in a 48h game jam platformer around the theme “Merge”.
